Jesus – Religious Rebel
As a Jesus follower, my desire is to live in His light and walk in His footsteps.
Was He a rebel? Yes.
He’s the guy who challenged the system, overturned tables in the temple, spoke real and raw to the most desperate, and spoke life into the unworthy and unclean.
Prostitution, perversion, lawmakers, money changers, and everyone who hung their dirty laundry for all to see… He was there, in the filthy trenches, offering living water and life-saving Grace.
Why do I call myself a “religious rebel?”
Because I am called by God… a daughter, created for greatness in His image.
A warrior, doing battle on the home front, claiming my inheritance and identity in His name!
“After I looked over the situation, I called together the nobles and the rest of the people and said to them, ‘Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!’” Nehemiah 4:14
Demonic ideologies are spreading across our land like wildfire, consuming our families, children, and even the unborn! The enemy is trying to lay claim over all we call sacred and tempting our thoughts, consuming our minds with mindless rhetoric. It’s time to take every thought captive and speak Jesus over all that threatens the sanctity of this earthly life.
Jesus could not be silenced. Even in death, His life arose to bring eternal ever after… such a scandalous thought to choose… but He chose me first.
Religious = Devoted to God
Rebel = One who rises in opposition to those who oppose authority, the Word of God
Jesus was a radical revolutionary, challenging humanity to rise above the modern-day status quo… whether it was 2000 years ago or now.
Nothing has changed – there is nothing new under the sun.
“History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new.” Ecclesiastes 1:9
